The History

A wedding gift

This home was a wedding gift from the grandparents to our parents. Our father Pericle fell in love with Santa Caterina after working there for two years, building the dame at the “Ghiacciaio dei Forni”. He decided to build a ski-lift, thus leading to the establishment a new ski resort.
Soon it became the headquarters of his second job as well as our holiday home, where four generations of our family would spend their holidays, the long summer months, with walks through the enchanting forests and picnics for the little ones, while the older ones ascended to the snowy peaks and descended to the Stelvio. 

The house where we stepped out the door, skis on our feet, to learn how to ski, first with Stefano Sertorelli, a member of the national Olympic at the 1936 Winter Olympics, and then with Deborah Compagnoni’s father, Giorgio.

The house in which we celebrated countless New Year’s Eve, and many carefree moments of joy with our friends.

The house is filled with the passions and collections of a family: Pericle’s beloved music, Picin’s furnishings and his priceless taste for beauty, Anna’s historical books and the minerals belonging to her husband Vittorio.

Now we have decided to open our doors and welcome you into our home.
